GoldCare Selected to Manage Wintringham’s Community Care Programs
Glen Waverley, Victoria – April 26, 2011
GoldCare (a division of Campana Systems Pty Ltd.), market leaders in healthcare management software, is pleased to announce that Wintringham has selected GoldCare’s community support software suite to help manage their community care and support services that assist elderly men and women who are financially disadvantaged and at risk of homelessness.
The GoldCare community support suite consists of clinical, operational and administrative applications that are integrated through a centralised interactive interface to provide an up-to-date view of client information, health records, progress reports, rosters, and more. This functionality will help Wintringham manage their community care programs, which includes Community Aged Care Packages (CACP), Extended Aged Care at Home including packages for people with Dementia (EACH and EACH-D), Consumer Directed Care (CDC), and outreach and housing support services. These programs are designed to enable older people to exercise choices and maintain control over their personal health, daily routines and lifestyle. Wintringham manages over 450 community care packages from four Melbourne based offices.
Due to the highly specialised nature of their community care services, Wintringham relies on funding from the Commonwealth and State Health and Aged Care Programs. Managing the allocation and reconciliation of funds for the community care packages, in addition to coordinating service planning and delivery for over 450 clients was challenging. GoldCare was selected to address that challenge by providing the technical foundation and operational processes to streamline resource distribution and funder reporting, and improve workflow efficiencies.
"GoldCare’s reputation for service excellence and quality perfectly supports our primary focus of delivering services to those who need it most – elderly men and women who are financially disadvantaged and homeless or at risk of homelessness. Through GoldCare, we’ll have ready access to crucial information, allowing us to take a more comprehensive approach to managing program outcomes and quality improvements", says Michael Deschepper, Chief Financial Officer for Wintringham.
"We’re proud of the role GoldCare will play in helping Wintringham as they continue to develop and implement specialised aged care services for a unique sector of the population," says Grant Roberts, President of Campana Systems.
