Pick/UniVerse Developer - Australia
We seek a professional who has a proven record of accomplishment in Pick/Universe software development. This candidate welcomes technological challenges and will take an active role in determining the product’s evolution. The ideal candidate will offer a perfect blend of seasoned developer, front-line team member, and creative designer.
Position Description
The candidate’s primary responsibility will be providing design solutions, programming and programming support for long-term care facilities and community care agencies that use GoldCare. As a developer, you will also work with various integration products to combine Universe data with the web and other emerging technologies. You will develop reports using different reporting tools, and assist other team members with problem-solving, documentation and implementation issues.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience developing business applications using Pick/Universe for a large customer base
- good interpersonal and communication skills
- strong organizational, time-management and analytic skills
- demonstrated ability to be a contributing team member
- robust project experience including ground-level, hands-on experience with all components of a project’s life cycle (specifications, design, coding, testing, deployment).
Additional Assets
- post-secondary education in Computer Science
- strong understanding of setup of Windows workstations and Windows networks
- an exposure to web development and a working knowledge of HTML, DHTML, or XML
- experience using an application development tool, such as SB Plus
- some knowledge of PC languages such as VB Script, Java, etc.
- experience with reporting tools such as Crystal Reports, SQL, MITS, etc.
- familiarity with the health care industry or a related service field.
