With Make your Own Report you design your own report and just run it whenever you need it. With AXIS we have a lot more flexibility.”Edith Martel

AXIS Make Your Own Report allows you to create user-defined ad hoc reports, labels, mailings and export files from the information stored in your AXIS database. Flexible formatting options organize report contents and customize each report's appearance according to your needs.
Make Your Own Report also offers security access control for files and reports. You can prevent unauthorized users from reporting on restricted information, and restrict access to reports to groups or individual users.
When users create a report, they define the report contents by specifying data selection criteria, including questions to ask the user running the report.
To customize the appearance of each report and organize information, users can add page headers and footers, sort and name fields, and select display formats. Users decide which fields display detailed information, column headings, totals, and record identification numbers.
When generating an Make Your Own Report report, users can choose to view or print the report, or specify an alternative output method, such as labels, mail merges, or a save-list. Make Your Own Report lets you group reports to run them in a batch, eliminating the need to generate each report individually. Report groups can be scheduled to run at a later time or behind the scenes while the user works on other tasks.
The export feature exports the report data to a PC or UNIX file for use in other areas. For example, you can use the exported file in a spreadsheet package, word-processing package, with an analysis tool such as Cognos® PowerPlay®, or to email another user.
